Former First Lady Michelle Obama to appear on “Tonight Show”

Former First Lady Michelle Obama is set to make her first appearance on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” since 2021, and she’ll be joining Jimmy Fallon in Studio 6B on Wednesday, April 19.

This marks Mrs. Obama’s sixth appearance as a guest on “The Tonight Show.” In the past, she has participated in beloved segments such as Jimmy’s special Thank You Notes episode and Tonight Show Surprises, where she surprised unsuspecting individuals in the elevators at 30 Rock.

Michelle Obama’s appearance on “The Tonight Show” comes in the wake of her podcast’s launch, titled “Michelle Obama: The Light Podcast,” produced by Higher Ground. The podcast has featured notable guests like Tyler Perry and Hoda Kotb, among others. Her upcoming appearance coincides with the April 25 premiere of the Netflix special “The Light We Carry: Michelle Obama & Oprah Winfrey.”

Following the publication of her second New York Times bestseller book, “The Light We Carry: Overcoming in Uncertain Times,” Mrs. Obama embarked on a nationwide six-city book tour across the United States.
