Beyoncé: Crazy Figures for Her Renaissance Tour

Queen B is definitely the queen. The figures for her Renaissance world tour, which has just come to an end, are astounding.

Beyoncé’s Renaissance world tour came to an end on October 2. A huge machine that made stops in ten countries and 39 cities, where it enchanted 2.7 million fans, it enabled the star to break many new records.

Her ninth concert tour earned Beyoncé some 579 million dollars, making it the most profitable tour by a female artist in history (a record Taylor Swift may soon break with her Eras Tour), as well as the seventh most profitable tour overall.

A figure to be put into perspective, notes EW, as Renaissance only counted 56 dates, far fewer than the 6th-ranked Guns N’ Roses, whose Never In This Lifetime… Tour included 158 shows.

With earnings of $10.3 million per concert, Beyonce surpasses Elton John, whose “Farewell Yellow Brick Road” tour is still the most profitable of all time – which lasted five years with 330 shows for a total of $939.1 million, or (only) an average of $2.8 million per concert.

And Renaissance, which also broke Billboard’s record for highest single-month gross with $127.6 million, is still going strong.

Stronger Than Blockbusters

She has yet to conquer theaters with a film retracing the tour from its May launch in Stockholm, Sweden, to its final date on October 2 in Kansas City, Missouri, which will premiere in North American theaters on December 1.

Sources told Deadline that first-day ticket presales for the three major U.S. exhibitors are estimated at $6-7 million and counting. The magazine points out that such figures are similar to the first-day sales of blockbusters such as “Avatar: The Water Way” ($5.5 million), “Guardians of the Galaxy: Vol. 3” ($6 million) and “Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania” ($6.5 million).

It’s worth noting that, before Renaissance hits the big screen, another artist is set to make a splash in cinemas: Taylor Swift, with the film about her mammoth tour The Eras, to be released this October 13 in over 100 countries.
