The rumours have been swirling for a few days, but now it’s official: Offset and Cardi B have indeed separated. The rapper herself made the announcement on social networks, live on Instagram. She explained that their break-up was fairly recent and that she didn’t really know how to announce it to her fans, despite the many clues scattered all over the place in recent days.
“I don’t know if you got any hints from my lives or Instagram stories when I posted certain music, or then the people I had unfollowed. I’m recently single. I just don’t know how to tell the world. I feel like today was a sign. The last time I was live, I wanted to tell you, but I didn’t know how. Finally, I’ve changed my mind. But it’s very recent. […] I just want to start 2024 on a good footing, open to new encounters. I’m curious about this new life, this new start.”

For his part, Offset remains rather discreet about this break-up. For the time being, he has said nothing on the matter, apart from an Instagram post with a caption suggesting his desire to emancipate himself after this separation.
