Historic Moment at PIA as Togo Launches “Made in Togo” T-Shirts to the USA and Soybean Oil Production

In a historic moment celebrated at the Plateforme Industrielle d’Adetikope (PIA), Togo took significant steps towards economic growth and international trade. PIA, one of the Special Economic Zones established by ARISE IIP on the African continent, marked the inauguration of the SINGLE WINDOW building and the launch of two key initiatives.

The ceremonies were presided over by Mrs. Kayi MIVEDOR-SAMBIANI, the Minister of Commerce, Handicrafts, and Local Consumption, highlighting the government’s commitment to these initiatives. Additionally, the achievements owe much to the visionary leadership of HEM Faure Essozimna GNASSINGBE, President of the Republic, who breathed life into PIA, stimulating the industrial ecosystem.

The SINGLE WINDOW building’s inauguration promises streamlined trade processes, fostering a business-friendly environment to attract investments and promote economic development.

A moment of pride came with the export of “Made in Togo” T-shirts to the United States, showcasing Togo’s craftsmanship and the nation’s capacity to produce high-quality goods. Simultaneously, the launch of “Vida” refined soybean oil production by Togo Soja adds to the nation’s economic promise, meeting domestic demand and potentially expanding into international markets.

These achievements underline Togo’s commitment to becoming a competitive player in the global trade arena, thanks to visionary leadership, government support, and a promising future for the nation and its people.
