Rihanna Relinquishes CEO Role at Savage X Fenty

Rihanna has announced her decision to step down as the CEO of Savage X Fenty, her renowned lingerie line, effective from Monday. She expressed her gratitude for the impact Savage X Fenty has made in the industry over the past five years and stated that this is just the beginning for the brand.
Rihanna also revealed that Hillary Super, the former global CEO of Anthropologie Group, will be taking over as the new CEO. Super’s appointment aims to facilitate the transition of Savage X Fenty from primarily an e-commerce brand to one that also establishes a strong physical retail presence and explores the wholesale market.

Savage X Fenty, founded in 2018, has experienced significant growth, securing $125 million in Series C funding in January 2022. The brand has garnered viral attention through influencer campaigns and partnerships, as well as four fashion shows streamed on Amazon’s Prime Video.

Rihanna, known by her birth name Robyn Fenty, achieved the status of one of the world’s wealthiest female musicians in August 2021. In addition to her involvement with Savage X Fenty, she co-owns Fenty Beauty, her namesake beauty line, with luxury conglomerate LVMH, making her estimated net worth approximately $1.4 billion.
