Iconic American singer Beyoncé Knowles is in the middle of her Renaissance Tour. A summer of festivities marred by a major mishap that befell her mother, fashion designer Tina Knowles.
The bad news comes at the worst possible time for Beyoncé Knowles, who has been kept away from her family by her international Renaissance Tour, which kicked off on May 10 in Sweden and ends on September 27 in New Orleans, USA. Tina Knowles, fashion designer and mother of Beyoncé, has been burglarized. Her luxurious Los Angeles home was broken into on Wednesday, July 5, and the American celebrity press learned the news several days later. At the time, daughter Beyoncé was between concerts in Poland and Canada.

According to TMZ, Tina Knowles was fortunately away from home at the time of the burglary. The 69-year-old American fashion designer’s safe was reportedly robbed. The burglars made off with a handsome haul: luxury jewelry and around one million dollars in cash (around 908,000 euros). The burglary was reportedly discovered on Wednesday July 5 by a member of Tina Knowles’ team who happened to pass by the home. Police are currently conducting a neighborhood investigation, hoping to gather witness statements that will enable them to pinpoint the culprits.
