The New World TV Group has recently acquired the rights to broadcast the Bundesliga and Bundesliga 2 in French and local languages for 22 countries in French-speaking sub-Saharan Africa. The agreement was signed last Tuesday in Frankfurt, Germany, and will take effect from the 2023-2024 season.

Under the agreement, New World TV holds non-exclusive pay-TV broadcasting rights for the Bundesliga and Bundesliga 2. In Togo’s domestic market, New World TV has also acquired the free broadcasting rights to the Bundesliga, committing to airing one match per league day on its local sports channel. This will enable soccer fans across the country to watch the best of German soccer. “We are delighted to be joining forces with our new and ambitious partner New World TV, as part of our multi-faceted localized approach. In addition to broadcasting in several local African languages, New World TV offers a new perspective and expands our offering to fans in French-speaking sub-Saharan Africa,” said Peer Naubert, Marketing Director of Bundesliga International.

He stated that this new partnership strengthens New World TV’s position as one of the continent’s leading sports channels covering the biggest international soccer competitions.
